NEW This print celebrates the 1900th anniversary of Hadrian’s Wall (2022) in a project co-ordinated by Northern Print. It is specific to the Roman Fort Vindolanda, which translated means White Lawn or White Field, describing a pre Roman landscape of grassland, featuring, among other things, Agrostis Capillaris, common bent grass.
Vindolanda remains a hugely important live excavation site, having given up major and fascinating archaeological finds for many years.
